Beginning the fountain at Youngstorget square at 2:30, Tomas Stokke (Haptic Architects) will lead a bike along the Oslo water front, where participants will explore the threshold between nature and the city. Guest speakers en-route will discuss the impact of nature on the development of Oslo, and how the city has grown with a mentality that stems from the mountains and the fjords.
LondonOn is a rolling residency programme exploring cities around the globe, run by collaborating London based architects and creatives. The group is currently researching Oslo as a city that has developed intensely intertwined with nature.
Confirmed guest speakers include:
- Marianne Saetre (Snohetta) who will talk about the design of the Oslo Opera House
- Halvor Weider Ellefsen (Oslo School of Architecture & Design) who will discuss his research on the Akker Brygge/Tjuvholmen area
- Spacegroup who will present the ideas behind their work in Filipstad
