Innovation in urban tourism

Overtourism became a new word in the dictionary in 2017, when people of Barcelona took to the streets to state that terrorism didn't kill their city, tourism did. Barcelona Global got the responsibility to find a solution, and held their first global summit on the issue in March this year. Mateu Hernandez will tell us how tourism in the city can be a blessing and not a curse.

Barcelona Global is a private, independent and non-profit association made up of 163 of the city's leading companies, research centers, entrepreneurs, business schools, universities and cultural institutions, and more than 800 professionals aiming to make Barcelona one of the world's best cities for talent and economic activity.
Barcelona Global Summits provides solutions on key aspects of economic development, welfare and international projection for Barcelona, based on international best practices.

The Barcelona Global Summits are conferences in which we present proposals to the main challenges of the city, based on the work of experts and the best international management practices in a specific field.
